So tomorrow will be seven days in mexico. I have noticed several things. Mexico seems exactly like the united states but in like 1995. The bus system is crazy and out of control but all the buses are mercedes. They definitely run the roads not the police. There are “bums” who spend more time trying to get money on the streets than trying to get a job, but its hard not to give money to the children. There are nice neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods just like the states. They drive bmw’s and have taxis that are a lot nicer than some in the united states as well. Most of the people are nice though, they don’t give to much trouble for seeing a guerro that speaks spanish. Every time someone passes a church they use the sign of the cross as the father son and holy spirit like the catholics do. No matter if they are man woman or child they do this as they pass a church. Some of the experiences have been crazy. Some things i haven’t figured out yet are like when going to pay a lot of times they don’t bring you a check or you don’t get up to pay they expect you to know. Its something i still need to figure out but will sometime. I think that this experience is good though because there are things we take for granted in the states like the water we can drink from the tap. Here you have to brush your teeth with bottled water and drink it if you want water. Also you cant shower very long because the water is limited and in some parts they only have hot water for certain hours of the day. But overall i would say i like it here and will upload some photos a bit later of the amazing sights you have the opportunity to see in the cities.
